50 Shades of Gray (or maybe 6) It's no secret, everyone loves gray. Here are some of my go to favorites....

Gray is the new neutral. It can be greenish, it can be blueish, it can be greige. Here are some of my go to grays....

Benjamin Moore OC-52 Gray Owl
A long standing favorite. This has been a staple for me. I have it in my own home and many people have asked for the name of this beautiful gray once they see it.

Benjamin Moore 1470 Bear Creek
It's bold and it's warm. I've used this in the lobby of a fantastic loft building. It looks great with whites and off whites and greenish blues.

Benjamin Moore HC-111 Nantucket Gray
A really beautiful green gray.

Benjamin Moore 2111-50 Stone Harbor
An inviting gray that pairs really well with blues and greens (I like turquoise with it!)

Benjamin Moore 2142-60 November Rain
A perfect neutral. If you are looking for a warm gray, this is it!  It's a nice putty color, warm, but not too warm.

Benjamin Moore 1611 Graytint
A beautiful pearl gray that pairs well with almost any color.

On My Mind......Built In Bunk Beds

My latest project has me working on a beautiful summer home on Long Island Sound. I am going to be doing a bunk room and wanted to share some inspiration on what I think is an awesome way to dress up your average bunk beds. These are definitely not your average bunk beds. Enjoy and be inspired!

Loving This Beautiful Chair

I am in love with the Alexandra Chair by Hickory Chair*. Imagine this in a bold large scale fabric and it could be edgy. Keep the fabric simple and it is beautiful. Either way, it's a forever classic.

Modern Take On the Tried and True Drum Pendant

I'm loving the versatility of this Porter 1912 drum pendant light by Robert Abbey. I had just recommended it to a client and literally saw it the next day on the cover of House Beautiful Magazine. Drum pendants are such an easy go-to for lighting. And what I especially love about this one is that the metallic chrome or brass will automatically give a modern twist to a traditional room, or give a traditional splash to a modern room. Basically you can't go wrong! You can find Robert Abbey lighting at

The Ultimate Inspiration....Katharine Hepburn's Estate

I am biased because I spent the summers in Old Saybrook, CT growing up. I've golfed the Fenwick golf course in which the late Katharine Hepburn's house sits and it is stunning. But the outside is just the beginning, take a look at what a NYC developer did to the inside! This house can be yours for a mere $28 million!

Check out the fabulous spread in Cococozy's blog:

I'm absolutely LOVING these lights!

Check out these mason jar pendant lights from West Elm. They come in gray, or green, short or tall. Think outside of the box. They would be great in an entryway, clustered over a bed, over your dining room table, and of course over your kitchen island. And lastly, you can't beat the price at $99!

I Just Really Like This....

Just a little something I came across.......
I don't know about you, but the fruit in my house is more likely to be eaten if it's left out on the counter. With that in mind, I came across these adorable stoneware farmer's market baskets at Anthropologie. They come in small in both turquoise and white ($14) and large in white ($20). What an enticing way to display your freshly washed berries. Looks like you just brought them in from the farm!

My Obsession Equals Your Inspiration.....Banquettes!

I have an obsession with banquettes. I don't know if it's the space saving aspect of them, or the neat and tidiness of them, but I love them and want one in my home someday (hopefully sooner, rather than later)!
There a few different ways to achieve this look; you can have them built in, or you can use a settee, or even check out the ready to buy ones from Ballard Designs. This option is simple. You can customize fabric and it looks extra special with the nail heads (I think everything is better with nail heads!). So if you're tight on space (and even if you're not) think about a banquette. And tell me, do any of you have a banquette? Enjoy the inspiration!
